Stretch

Puss of the Day : Stretch : Loverly to see a cat stretching after a sleep it is always the first thing they do on awakening. Also now adopted by our Tai Chi class as a warmup gi gong exercise..I believe a lot of the moves are based on animal movements….makes sense. not the lapping of milk from a bowl though.

Jugged Puss

 Puss of the Day : Jugged Puss  : Kittens are so cute…and the cute things they do….climbing into a jug and peering over the top and looking cute….it took two hours to put this one in a jug and photographing him…He didn't seem to mind…at first..but my wife thought he did so we had to stop…he was fed and miked ( not watered) and lay on our best cushion…like some actor awaiting  his next call.

The Duchess

Puss of the Day :  The Duchess   :  One of the cats with a genuine aristocratic background would walk in a room as if she owned the place. She had so much self confidence it was hard to believe she was just a cat. Coming into our lives not like other cats appearing at the door one day mewing to get in and near something hot and some food…..The Duchess " descended" into our live appearing first in the best chair demanding to be waited  on and generally pampered ….and daring us to disobey ……..

Puss of the Day:  What's Up?  :  More pussy talk…this one had committed some domestic crime…spilling mike I expect …looking up as is if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth..feigning innosence …but still in charge……cats!

Rude Dude

Puss of the Day : Rude Dude  :  I was talking to this cat the other day…as you do…..I was actually showing him a card trick….he stuck with the bla bla bla ( in case food was involved ) when he suddenly yawned and stuck his tongue out at me…..I don't know if he knew what he was doing but it looked convincing to me…..I stop showing him the trick and walked away..slightly slighted…..cats! what are they like….

Who You?

Puss of the Day : Who You? : Cats are so laid back…once they have settled after their meal…it takes a lot to move them when they don't want too…This one noticed the bug and followed it's trec across the terrace watching it's every step…it went behind the cat…and the cat's head followed it around almost the same as an owl…finally it just had to move to check where the bug had gone…before settling down again where he had started…..cats…what are they like?

Sea Gull Hunt

Puss of the Day :   Sea Gull Hunt    :  Another good idea from a cats mind is……
…I like catching birds…gulls are birds…so…if I sit on a pole near sea gulls I will catch one…..what can possibly go wrong? same question for the bird table too….neither worked……but you have to hand it to the cats…they never give up ( unless it's time for a home prepared meal ) until then we will just sit here until my plan works…..good luck!

Puss of the Day :  Pounce! : Kittens look so cute when they play "pretend" leaping on imaginary enemies …scaring themselves into jumping madly in the air. So much of this stuff on YouTube it's so nice to sit down and paint one…

Pussy of the Day : You Want…WHAT ? : Talking to cats is never very rewarding…they just stare back at you with their heads on one side as if they are trying to understand what you are saying…it took me some years to realise that it is nothing of the sort…they are wondering when the bla bla bla is going to stop and thinking I'm only hanging around in case some of this bla bla bla is anything to do with food.  Ho Humm…

Howling at the Moon

Puss of the Day :  Howling at the Moon: We had dogs that used to howl at hot-air-balloons but it was the cats who would howl at the moon…strange animals what were they thinking it was…if they were howling they might have thought it was an empty dinner plate! that would get them howling.

Cat Table

Puss of the Day: Cat Table : This Tabby has climbed the bird table with the thought of using it to catch birds…but the "word" had got around among the birds...the cat sat there for most f the day without seeing a single bird..as soon as he got fed up a left...out they came hungrily eat up the seed...had to laugh....

New View

Puss of the Day: New View: After a little time off for good behaviour I am starting again with the daily painting but this time I am painting cats…I will go back to birds at a later date. This our old cat Finclestien now departed..but happily well remembered. He would always find odd places to sleep…I would open a cupboard he would be sleeping there on one of the shelves…missing him just writing this…
